Properties
• Colorless, transparent liquid
• Boiling point 164–166 °C (pure)
• Specific gravity 0.92–0.94
• Flash point 56 °C
• Highly efficient viscosity reducer for epoxy resins
• Contains ethers and epoxy groups; it copolymerizes during cure to form a homogeneous network
• Commonly used as a reactive diluent
Applications
• Widely employed in electronics, electrical, electromechanical and mechanical industries to lower epoxy resin viscosity and improve processability
• Suitable for potting, casting, laminating and impregnation processes
• Used in insulating materials, adhesives, solvent-free coatings and bonding systems
