Properties
• Colorless to pale-yellow transparent liquid
• Miscible with epoxy resins, low viscosity, high boiling point, non-toxic and non-irritating
• Flexible aliphatic polyethers backbone improves impact strength and thermal-shock resistance of cured epoxies, eliminating brittleness
Applications
• Flexibilizer and reactive diluent for bisphenol-A epoxy systems, enhancing flexibility, elongation and impact resistance
• Widely used in potting compounds, solvent-free coatings, impregnating varnishes, drip-impregnating resins and adhesives for large/medium dry-type transformers, instrument transformers, high-voltage switches, micro-motors, capacitors and other electronic devices
• Key component in automotive electrodeposition primers
• Cellulose finishing agent that increases softness, fastness, alkali resistance and dye uptake of cotton, linen, wool and silk, while raising fiber tensile strength
